Cocido Madrileno (Filipino Nilaga)

A cocido (stew) may include any type of meat on hand, plus garbanzo (chickpeas) beans.  To make a really tasty broth, I use either smoked pork hock, leftover ham bones (holiday treat) or smoke-cured bacon (always available).  In ages past, Cocido Madrileno was a mainstay at weekend Filipino family gatherings.  Thanks to the pressure cooker, it is now a 30-minute meal (smile).
